Sean Gelael, Darren Leung, and Dan Harper started from the second position in the Bronze Cup class of the GT World Challenge Europe (GTWCE) Endurance Cup. However, their journey ended prematurely as Leung, who was in charge at the beginning, managed to take the lead. Unfortunately, the advantage was short-lived as a collision with Riccardo Cazzaniga from Tresor Attempto Racing 88 occurred in the first 10 minutes of the race. This incident damaged the left rear suspension of Leung’s car, forcing them to retire from the race, resulting in a Disqualification Not Finish (DNF) status.
The team, Paradine Competition 991, also failed to finish the race due to this unfortunate turn of events. Despite attempts from the pit crew to repair the damage and change the tires, Leung indicated that the car was too damaged to continue racing. Harper expressed disappointment regarding the early end of their race on Facebook, praising the efforts of the Paradine team, Leung, and Gelael.
The winners of the 3 Hours of Nurburgring GTWCE race in each class were 2 Seas Motorsport 222 (Mercedes-AMG) in the Bronze Cup, Boutsen VDS 10 (Mercedes-AMG) in the Silver Cup, Verstappen.com Racing 33 (Aston Martin) in the Gold Cup, and Rowe Racing 98 (BMW M) in the Pro class. After Nurburgring, Sean Gelael participated in the FIA World Endurance Championship event at the Circuit of The Americas on September 7, 2025.
