President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, warmly received the President of Peru, Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The ceremony was attended by approximately 3,000 students from various schools in the capital city. President Boluarte arrived at the palace in a grand motorcade, accompanied by motorcycle troops and mounted guards. Upon arrival, she was personally greeted by President Prabowo, and the two leaders stood together on the ceremonial podium while the national anthems of Peru and Indonesia were played. After the anthems, they inspected the honor guard and paid tribute to their national flags. Both leaders then introduced their official delegations, with Prabowo accompanied by several key ministers. The meeting between the two heads of state aimed to strengthen relations between Indonesia and Peru, who are both members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). This meeting was a reciprocal gesture following Prabowo’s official visit to Peru last year, highlighting the ongoing diplomatic exchange between the two nations.
