The father of a graduate from the “Ben Mboi” Polytechnic of the Defense University (Unhan RI) in Belu, East Nusa Tenggara, expressed his gratitude towards Indonesia’s Defense Minister, Prabowo Subianto, for covering the cost of his flight to Jakarta to attend his daughter’s graduation on Saturday, August 24.
During the interaction after the graduation ceremony, Prabowo asked Yohanes, the father of graduate Rosalia Virginia Linda, if the graduate was his daughter or son. Yohanes, in turn, expressed his appreciation for the free education provided at Unhan RI, a program initiated by Prabowo.
Yohanes thanked Prabowo for organizing education at Unhan and funding the trip to Jakarta to witness their child’s graduation. Unhan held a graduation ceremony for 425 students, offering various undergraduate and diploma programs with a focus on STEM competencies. Yohanes concluded his gratitude by saying, “Long live the defense of the nation.”
