The recent depreciation of the rupiah was successfully mitigated by a press conference on the 2025 State Budget Plan (APBN) according to Senior Bank Indonesia Board of Governors member Destry Damayanti. The conference, attended by key government representatives, helped strengthen the Garuda currency and reassured investors about Indonesia’s fiscal management. As a result, the rupiah closed stronger against the US dollar, breaking through the Rp 16,400/$ level.
