Jakarta — Defense Minister (Menhan) of Indonesia and president-elect for the 2024-2029 period, Prabowo Subianto, took a selfie with journalists from the Presidential Palace after a working meeting with President Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (6/6) afternoon.

The moment happened when Prabowo finished his meeting and conversation with Jokowi and had lunch together. Prabowo left the Palace and was awaited by the media colleagues.

“Mr. Prabowo, good afternoon sir, you look very cheerful,” greeted the journalists to Prabowo.

Prabowo smiled and approached the journalists before heading to the podium provided for an interview.

“I was just called by the President (Jokowi), coincidentally invited to have lunch and I did ask for time, I asked for time to report the results of my meetings over the past two days in Singapore,” Prabowo explained.

In today’s afternoon meeting with Jokowi, Prabowo reported several things, including the results of Indonesia’s diplomacy meetings at the 21st IISS Shangri-La Dialogue held in Singapore.

In addition, while in Singapore, Prabowo also met with several other important figures including Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrance Wong, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, and then a meeting with the US Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin.

After the interview, the media colleagues then asked to take a group photo with Prabowo.

“Sir, let’s take a photo together,” shouted one journalist to Prabowo

Prabowo, who was almost heading towards his car, then turned back and fulfilled the journalists’ request.

“Photo? Where should we take it?” responded Prabowo.

Prabowo then lined up in the middle of the Presidential journalists, looking friendly and stylish in black sunglasses and a white shirt to capture the moment for a group photo.

“Okay, thank you,” said Prabowo.
