President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, recently received heartfelt letters from junior and senior high school students at the Sekolah Rakyat in Cibinong, West Java. The President personally took time to read the letters in his office, as shared on the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat. The post featured two photos depicting President Prabowo engrossed in reading the letters and showcasing the handwritten note of a student.
One of the students, Erni Andayani, penned a moving letter to the President expressing her gratitude for inaugurating Sekolah Rakyat. She highlighted how the school has provided them with access to quality education and reignited their aspirations. The school was officially launched for the academic year 2025–2026, managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs and catering to children from economically disadvantaged families.
Sekolah Rakyat currently operates in 63 locations across Indonesia, aiming to support underprivileged children in accessing education and pursuing their dreams. The heartfelt letter from the students reflects the impact of the school in transforming their lives and opening doors to a brighter future.
