President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to update him on his recent state visits to several countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. Prabowo shared the progress made during his international tour, highlighting the breakthrough achieved in negotiations with the European Union for the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) after a decade of discussions. Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence and was warmly welcomed by Jokowi and First Lady Iriana. The meeting was described as cordial and relaxed, covering various current issues and highlights from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour, including positive outcomes from his visit to Belarus. Prabowo emphasized Indonesia’s strong international standing, commitment to neutrality, and peaceful cooperation, emphasizing the country’s non-aligned status and pursuit of friendship with all nations without interference in their domestic affairs. State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo also joined the meeting with Prabowo and Jokowi. Indonesia’s reputation as a respected and neutral country was reaffirmed during the discussions.
