Jordan – Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto received a warm reception from several high-ranking Jordanian officials upon his arrival at Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan on Monday (10/6).
Prabowo stepped off the plane onto a red carpet and was greeted by a military honor guard from the Jordanian army.
He arrived at Queen Alia Airport at 08:35 local time or around 10:00 WIB, wearing a grey suit and black sunglasses.
The welcoming party included the Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Ibrahim Mashhour Al Jazi, Governor of Amman Yasser Al-Adwan, Mayor of Amman Yousef Sawarbeh, and Indonesian Defense Attaché for Egypt in Cairo, Colonel Kav Aria Sanggita Saleh.
Prabowo and the Jordanian officials then quickly proceeded to The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Amman, Jordan.
Prabowo’s visit to Amman, Jordan, is to represent Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the high-level conference “Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza,” organized jointly with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United Nations, scheduled for the following day, June 11, 2024, in Jordan.
